About the Artist

Scott Dow is a native Pennsylvanian and a Marine Corp veteran.  He received his BA in painting and drawing and an MFA in figurative sculpture at Edinboro University of PA.  He is well-versed in many media of the art realm. 

Throughout his career, he has been a tattoo artist, painter, bronze caster, marble and stone sculptor, and furniture designer.  When he picked up a chainsaw, he found an immediate speed and fluidity to apply his creative expertise in an area where the forestry resources are abundant.

Scott has competed on the international and national stage winning the US Open in 2012 and competed in the Blockhausen Husky Cup in Germany on an American team in 2012, and 2014. In May of 2023 he will travel to the Husky Cup again to collaborate with Bob King in the Masters of the Masters’ Competition.  He has an established studio and gallery in Corry, PA where he completes commissioned works and specializes in human and wildlife figurative carvings as well as angels and mantels.  

Scott is the proud father of three children Zach, Anna, and Maggie and husband of 30 years to Jen.  He is an avid mountain bike lover, fitness enthusiast, and football fan  He loves to spend any free time he finds with friends and family.
